Sporting Events

 

Diamond Creek Primary School students are involved in various sporting carnivals across the year. Students participate in many events, including the following:

 

Whole School House Athletics

Grades 3-6 House Cross Country

AFL footy day

Tabloid Sports Days

Grade 5/6 Hoop time

Kelly Sport Days

Gymnastics

Swimming Program

 

There is opportunity for students to qualify and represent the school in district events and regional sporting events.

Interschool Sport

Diamond Creek Primary School offers Interschool sport opportunities to all students in Years 4-6. Students are currently involved in the Diamond Valley Primary Schools Sports Association and participate in Interschool Sport on Friday mornings throughout the year. Sporting participation, teamwork and sportsmanship is encouraged. Students participate in the following Interschool sport teams…

 

Summer Interschool Sport

(Term 1 and Term 4): Cricket, Rounders, Volleyball, Basketball and Bat Tennis.

 

Winter Interschool Sport

(Terms 2 and 3) AFL football, Soccer, Softball and Netball.

District Sporting Events

The DVPSSA runs various district sporting events across the year. Students have the opportunity to try out to be selected to represent Diamond Creek PS in various district sporting events including:

 

District Swimming Carnivals

Cross Country

District Athletics Carnival

Tennis

Golf

Hockey 7s

3/4 Netball Day

Division and State sport trials

 

For students who excel and qualify in certain sports and events, there is an opportunity to participate in District, Zone, Regional and State Carnivals.
